**MY Multiplayer** (**MYMP**) is a multiplayer platform that lets you create, develop, and host custom servers, offering freedom and flexibility to build any kind of multiplayer experience. This wiki covers server configuration and Lua 5.4 scripting, split into two main sections in the top navigation bar.

## Documentation

Conceptual and practical guides explaining how MY Multiplayer works: how resources are organised (`meta.xml` and `modules/`), how to configure a server (`server.cfg`), built-in global variables, vector types (`vec2` and `vec3`) and how the client and the server exchange events.

## Scripting

The complete [Scripting reference](https://wiki.mymp.gg/en/llms.txt) covering every Lua function and event available in MY Multiplayer (MYMP), grouped by category and marked with the side each one runs on: **client**, **server** or **shared** (both sides).

## Where to start

- [Resource structure](https://wiki.mymp.gg/en/docs/resources.md): a resource's folder layout and every tag accepted in `meta.xml`.
- [Modules and import](https://wiki.mymp.gg/en/docs/modules.md): how to split and reuse Lua code within or across resources using `import`.
- [Server configuration (server.cfg)](https://wiki.mymp.gg/en/docs/server-config.md): startup directives (`ensure`, `set`), core convars and the `content.key` encryption file.
- [Global variables](https://wiki.mymp.gg/en/docs/globals.md): globals available in every script (`root`, `resourceRoot`, `localPlayer`, `exports`) and inside event handlers (`source`, `client`).
- [Vectors (vec3)](https://wiki.mymp.gg/en/docs/vectors.md): how MYMP accepts coordinates and returns positions, rotations and velocities as `vec3` and `vec2` values.
- [Events between client and server](https://wiki.mymp.gg/en/docs/custom-events.md): registering custom events and communicating across the network with `triggerServerEvent` and `triggerClientEvent`.
